Using the computer as a land line telephone
I am looking for some software so I can use my computer as a hands free call/receive telephone.
If I could record the call on it, all the better.

I have or can get any hardware, that's not a problem. But I need the software that will work with XP Pro.

And no Skype is not the answer, I have that already. That is VoIP, I want to use my land line.
