1. Thanks for these! I have a question
about "The first is Cool Previews. It allows you to go open up webpages and images while staying on the same page. When you mouse over a link, a little blue icon appears. You can customize it so that you have to click on the icon (the way I set it up) or it opens by simply mousing over the icon. A window size of your choosing then appears on the same page. You can also add things like wikipedia or free dictionary to your right click menu. Highlight a phrase and search away, and get results on the same page.

How do you add wiki or dictionary? I'm unable to accomplish the task that is bolded. Thanks in advance for any help! :hi:

2. Glad you like it.
Sorry for this late response, but I don't wander over here too often.

To add wiki or free dictionary: Go to Tools>Add-ons. This opens up the box for add-ons that should have Cooliris (the overall program is called Cooliris with Coolpreviews a part, I believe) installed. Click anywhere on the 'Cooliris Previews' section, and choices become available. Select 'Options' and click on tab for 'Right-click search'. Here, you will see two boxes ('Non-Activated Websites' and 'Activated Websites') with arrows going back and forth. Certain activated websites come loaded with the program, like Ask.com, YahooImages, Flickr, and of course, thefreedictionary or Wikipedia. Simply click on the one you want in the non-activated, and hit the arrow going to the activated box. To remove, just reverse. I think you may have to restart your browser before they appear, I can't remember. Now you should see these options available as part of your right-click menu when you highlight a word or phrase.

You can also supposedly customize it for any website that has a search engine, although I personally haven't done that. Similar instructions with images are here:

3. That reminds me, the second entry, 'make multiple homepages',
Edited on Sun Nov-02-08 06:43 PM by riverdeep
there is an easier way. The method I suggested was to open up the websites you want as your homepages and copy the URLs into the box for homepages, separated by a pipe. When I looked at the section for homepage setting, I only had one page open and saw it said 'Use current page'. Well, when you open up multiple homepages, it changes to 'Use current pages', I hadn't noticed it had changed. It even appears on the image grab I posted. So just open up the pages you want to set as homepages, and click that button. Much easier.
