Just bought a new TV need help...........
So I just bought a new 47" HDTV, I have Comcast cable but the Comcast remote does not respond when I press the volume button. The volume button used to work on the old TV before the new one but it does not anymore. I have to use the remote that came with the new TV to lower or turn up the volume. When I press the power off button on the Comcast remote it only turns off the cable box but not the TV. How do I make it so the Comcast remote controls the volume and turns off the new TV?

Also the picture is not clear but rather its a little fuzzy, not truly clear......not "HD" at all. The picture looks just a little better than my old standard TV. I believe this is because my cable box does not come with HD programming or in other words is just not built to deliver HD programming or something. In order to get the HD picture do I need a cable box that delivers HD programming? or is it something with the TV?

Sorry if this is not the right forum for my questions.

1. If you are on cable, you will most likely need thier HD box for very many
HD channels. With my cable provider, I can only get HD on the local channels and they are in the 100+ channel range.

5. There might be another issue
I have DTV (no HD yet) and bought a 46" Toshiba Regza.

The remote quite working. I switched boxes with my second TV, and that remote quit working... As it turns out, the TV interfered with the IR of the remote...

I had a third box that was a different model with a different remote, and got that to work.
