Done with Firefox. Done, done, done.
I wouldn't be so pissed off if everybody didn't sing its praises and how wonderful it is all the fucking time. Yeah, the tabbed browsing was great, but it has huge sound problems. Sometimes the sound driver in my headphones blips and the sound quits. If it happens in IE, I unplug the headphones, restart the application, and viola, the sound is back. With Firefox, this trick does not work. I have to reinstall the whole program. After the third time, fuck that. I'm switching to Google Chrome as my alternate to IE.

:puke:

3. Windows XP, Dell Inspiron e1505
Dynex USB hub, Logitech headphones.

There's a thread in here from me before when my other USB was causing sound issues and xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx. We found out it was the driver for the USB hub and the fact that the old one didn't have an independent power source but was drawing power off of the computer itself.

2. Uh, okay
Hope your sound driver problem doesn't follow over to Chrome. Good luck.

6. So say you.
Whatever.

I guess I'm just a dumbass who throws poo at my computer all day.

:eyes:

For the record, Chrome has been excellent so far. Sound plays when I tell it to.

8. fwiw ..
I dumped Firefox too.

Opera is my primary browser with IE backup. Chrome horrified me. Go with what you prefer.

I declare a Browser War!

Lynx is better. It has more colors.

(That's FF, Opera, Konqueror, and Lynx in the drop-down shell window.)
