What source do you use for comparing prices/features/reviews
of computers, parts, laptops, accessories, etc?

I'm looking into buying some stuff and I can't really find one that's making me happy...any suggestions?

(Basically I've just been Googling "PC comparisons", "PC/laptop parts and accesories comparisons" etc. I know there's got to be some kind of all-in-one source, no?)

1. pricewatch.com
is good, but make sure you look at the vendor ratings.

2. my top two ...

3. www.cnet.com
is great because you can compare in alot of ways.

Before I buy ANY electronic equipment or software(computer, digital camera, cellphone, etc), I always check CNET.com. Their reviews are often right on the mark and not price-based like some other websites (where the most expensive equipment ALWAYS gets good reviews, no matter how crummy it actually is)

6. Several suggestions ...
For reviews and news:

http://www.anandtech.com/

http://www.tomshardware.com/index.html

http://www.sharkyextreme.com/

For information on motherboards, which are constantly changing:

http://www.motherboards.org/

And for price comparisons:

http://www.pricewatch.com ... as others mentioned.

Now, an important note about pricewatch. Companies have learned how to manipulate it and use it as free advertising for their bait and switch routine. Pricewatch supposedly tries to filter these, but in many cases, the bait and switch is close enough to a legitimate attempt at an upsell that nothing will happen to the company. Also be warned that many of the lowest prices come from companies with which people have had numerous problems. In my view, it's worth paying a bit more for good customer service.

Here's another helpful site I found. It does nothing but provide reviews of online resellers.

http://www.resellerratings.com/find.pl

Before you buy, check it. It may save you a headache.

I'll also mentioned newegg.com as a re-seller. It's not always the cheapest, but still very competitive, and the service simply can't be beaten.

8. cnet/zdnet (same place, actually), amazon.com, pricewatch.com,
and so on.

I usually use newegg.com or mwave.com for buying - best prices and return policies.
