Yet ANOTHER Security patch for Internet ExploDer...
Edited on Thu Jan-21-10 04:58 PM by Earth Bound Misfit
What's that make 3 this MONTH (so far)? 4?

Cumulative Security Update for Internet Explorer 8 for Windows XP (KB978207)
Date last published: 1/21/2010
Download size: 9.3 MB

Security issues have been identified that could allow an attacker to compromise a system that is running Microsoft Internet Explorer and gain control over it. You can help protect your system by installing this update from Microsoft. After you install this item, you may have to restart your computer.

More info: http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/bulletin/ms10-002.mspx

Executive Summary
This security update resolves seven privately reported vulnerabilities and one publicly disclosed vulnerability in Internet Explorer. The more severe vulnerabilities could allow remote code execution if a user views a specially crafted Web page using Internet Explorer. Users whose accounts are configured to have fewer user rights on the system could be less impacted than users who operate with administrative user rights.

3. I don't use it either hobbit.
I quit using it about 2 years ago completely and use Firefox exclusively. The only time I use IE is when I have to log onto my work website which is not compatible with IE8....only 6 which is buggy as hell so I rarely log on using my computer.
