I use a flat head screw driver to pop keys off my keyboard to clean it.
Underneath the key, you'll find a little plastic piece and the actual button that the key pushes on when pressed. I use peroxide and a Q-tip to clean mine when they're sticky. Let it dry for 5 or 10 minutes, then blow it out with canned air to clean out any rogue pieces of cotton from the Q-tip.
