Tips on sending photos as JPEG attachments.

I often email photos to friends, but they always open in the body
of the email. I've been trying to figure out how to send as a
separate attachment which has to be opened by the recipient, but I
just can't do it.

Normally I lick on Attach or Insert, depending which computer program
I'm on, then go to My Pictures and click on the one I want to send.
I've also tried using File, then Attach when I'm composing the
email, but still my picture goes straight to the body of the email.
I have no trouble sending documents as separate attachments, but I
can't make the process work for photos.

Does anyone have any helpful advice?

1. well, in Outlook Express..

go to Tools| Options|Send, then click on the 'HTML setting' section where it says 'mail sending format'. There is a box which says 'send picture with message.' I think if you unclick 'send picture with message', the photo only travels as an attachment & does not open in the message itself.

2. Thanks - I'll try that one at home.

But my office computer uses Netscape, and the Tools file is
different. I'll play around and see if I can find something that
seems to work the same way.
