Anyone downloaded and use rainmeter? How is it?

Is it worth it? I realize it's free, but I mean, do you find the functionalitiy useful or is it just a resource hog?

I have a desktop running XP that I might be thinking of installing it on, and a couple of laptops, but those are pretty new(Win 7) and I am still getting used to that.

I've been using it for years and yes, it's a bit of a resource hog but not in a crazy way - at least not for the configs that operate without internet access. Granted, I don't run as many configs/skins as some users do but that's the beauty of Rainmeter. Its sooo configurable! You might remember my desktop screengrab from a couple weeks back:

The green boxes and the text RSS feed are from the Omnimo Rainmeter skin - kind of makes my XP desktop look like Windows 8 without actually being Windows 8.

It's always nice to get some input before I download something and it messes up my system.
