My new build.
AMD FX8150, ASUS M5A97 motherboard, 8 Gb Patriot DDR3 1600MHz RAM, NVidia 430GT video card.
Currently running Windows XP X64 and Prime95 to see what happens.
So far running at 3.9 MHZ and haven't even started to OC.

Going to check performance with Windows 7 Professional 64 bit and some flavor Linux later.
Idle temps are 18-20°C and Prime 95 after an hour is 45-47°C. And that's with the AMD supplied heat sink.

1. Wow. You have an OCTOCORE!
Amazing reviews for this processor. Did you see this article, where it's been OCd to 8.58ghz? http://www.tomshardware.com/news/fx-8150-bulldozer-record-overclocking-speed,13903.html

2. update on testing.
Running Windows 7 Professional X64. Performs faster than XP. Got a 7.6 on CPU performance. Now running at 4 GHz and idle temps dropped to 12-14°C. Even with both folding@home and GPU folding running.

May crank it to 4.5 GHz later and see what happens.

Renders my test fractal image in 1:15 minutes. On my 1100T it took 2:00 minutes. Way back on my old 900 MHz Athlon, it took about 8 minutes.
