Help .."a script running on this page is causing mozilla to run slowly...

if it continues your computer may become unresponsive. do you want to abort the script?"

what the heck is this all about? it just started last night and got old very fast.

it shows the message when i try to open mozilla and if i click on a link in a page. it is ok if i type in the address or pick from my NEW bookmarks (it ate my old ones two days ago.)

can someone help me, please.

i started using mozilla because explorer kept telling me i had to have a connection to do whatever i was trying to do and did i want to work offline. i was connected to my dsl the whole time.

1. That's a Javascript problem

Are you running any extensions? If it's occurring every time you open Mozilla, before you can load a page, it's likely an extension. Raise the extension manager, right-click each entry and choose Disable. Close Mozilla, restart and see if the problem goes away. If it does, re-activate one extension at a time, close and restart for each, until the trouble begins again and you'll have your culprit.

If it's only occurring on a specific page, the Javascript on that page is the problem.
