Question about "free Wi-Fi" usage.
There are all these coffee shops and other shops around advertising free Wi-Fi.

I've got a brand new Palm Tungsten E2 with an expansion slot, and there's a Wi-Fi card for it available for $99.00.

If I bought the PalmOne Wi-Fi card, and brought my Palm into a place with free Wi-Fi, will I be able to connect to it? Can I launch the Blazer mini-browser software on the Palm to access my ISP's webmail page and oh, say, DU? :) Without buying anything else or paying for wireless access to my ISP?

Seem like I should be able to, but I'm a Wi-Fi naif, :hide: and I'd hate to buy the card and then find out my plan was a big no-go.

1. I got noidea about a Palm
but I take my laptop to Panera all the time and it really is free. The first time you have to sort of let the wireless know it's ok to put on the list and then after that it's automatic. Maybe you could could call someplace like Best Buy and ask them if it's the same for the Palm. It's really nice.
