Ho do I get rid of the "New Programs Installed" msg every time I hit
the "Start" button on XP Pro. I know new programs were installed - a long time ago! Yet every time it gives me this message. How do I disable this? Thanks!

1. This is a bug in XP, unfortunately.
It can be disabled in the following way

Right click start menu, properties,start menu tab, choose customize next to start menu radio, advanced tab, uncheck "highlight newly installed programs, click OK.
