laser toner compatibility

so, i have a sorta rare laser printer. the cartridges are crazy expensive. i have bought a lot of them, but i have also done some refills. trouble is that even the eom toner is hard to find. but here's the thing, this machine was sold under several name plates, and i assume those cartridges are compatible. one was a minlota qms. would toner be compatible across the qms line? does anyone know where you can get some solid info on toner compatibility?

Are almost guaranteed to have the correct toner cartridge for your printer. The only catch is they were recently bought out by Office Depot.
On edit: DU didn't like the semicolons in the link to Minolta/QMS toner cartridges at Viking. Here it is in TinyURL form: http://tinyurl.com/88o2n

If you have the exact printer maker and model# I can probably tell you what you need (or you could just go to the company's support site yourself). Printer companies usually use the same type of printer cartridge for several different models of printer but that's not necessarily the case for ALL printers.
