Might it be the default color of the links? Are you using any special extensions? I read about a smimilar problem and the guy's Norton Internet Security was blocking the links because NIS thought it was an ad....???

Not the default color of the links... they simply disappear (on my PC, but apparently not others) when posted. (For more confusing & frustrating background, see my posts & their replies on this thread where the link was originally (presumably) posted: http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=364x41831)

You've lost me on "special extensions".

AV/firewall/security settings would be my guess as to why I'm having this problem, but an explanation would help me feel like I'm not in the Twilight Zone.
