Edited on Fri Jan-27-06 04:46 PM by OneBlueSky
I recently switched from dial-up to broadband (Optimum Online), and everything seems to work fine except for animated .gif's . . . which no longer animate . . . any idea why that is? . . . and what I might do to fix it? . . . thanx . . .

on edit: I'm running Microsoft ME (yeah, I know) . . .

1. Are you using a Firewall?

If so, which one? ZoneAlarm, for example, has an option that disables animated gifs. Other security software can create the same issue.

3. There are browser settings for that.
For example, in Mozilla:

Edit->Preferences->Privacy&Security->Images->"Animated images should loop"
