1. This is just a lucky guess, but I bet you didn't try Google...
The top response from Google with the word "Vundo":

Symantec Security Response - Trojan.Vundo Removal Tool

7. I use Symantec; it quarantined Vundo files, doesn't remove.
Also hired some IT guys to try to remove it with no luck after 2 expensive hours.

2. Follow this link
http://forums.techguy.org/54-security/

They will have you post a Hijackthis log. They will walk you step by step through the process. You will be able to clean Vundo off your computer.
You will also need to do a few other things than just run the removal software.
When ever a VUNDO infection is seen in a HJT log you can GUARANTEE that an out of date vulnerable version of Sun Java will be on the computer.

5. Nope no problem
It's really not complicated at all. Just sign up with the site and post your problem. You will be helped by some very good computer techs that do this stuff for free.
If you choose not to go to the site I posted here is another great site that will do the same thing for you for Free.

9. we.. I ran Mcafee virus scan and it seems to have gotten rid of it...
I re ran the virus scan in the AM, and it did not show up again. Am I lucky or kidding myself? Thanks for your suggestions. I am not going to be back at home for another 2 days so any other clean up will have to wait.
