controlling DVD playback speed
Edited on Sun Apr-16-06 01:27 PM by welshTerrier2
WMP comes with an option on the "Play" menu called "Play Speed" - you can choose fast, normal or slow ...

I recently bought a DVD that I play on my computer (no DVD player) that teaches you how to play the mandolin ... the problem is, the guy plays way too fast for a beginner to keep pace with him ... what i'm looking for is a way to slow down the playback speed so i can keep up ...

I tried the WMP feature and it causes playback of the dvd to abort ... the speed control works correctly, however, when playing an mp3 file stored on my hard drive ...

I've looked around the web and found all kinds of freeware and shareware that claim to be able to control dvd playback speed but i wasn't sure if the limitation was in the dvd itself, in my cd/dvd drive or in WMP ... i didn't want to install all kinds of programs as a test ...

does anyone know of software that will reliably slow down dvd playback on a computer? freeware would be the most preferable ... thanks for any input you might have ...

finally, is there a way to record the dvd audio to an mp3 file ... maybe i could solve the problem that way ...
