What the heck is the matter with my speakers? I just went out and bought
two more because I thought they were dead and THESE ONES DON'T WORK EITHER. May I be more specific: They sometimes work and sometimes don't. The light is on. I've gotten them to work before by moving the wire that attaches in the back.
This is driving me nuts. :argh: :argh: :argh: :argh: :argh: :argh: :argh: :argh: :argh:
Or if you have onboard sound with the motherboard, it may be that. From your description, it seems the connector could have become damaged in some way.
3. Thanks to both of you. I had Comcast here today and gave the
guy a bunch of things to straighten out. He said he thought it was the audio card in the mother board because he checked my audio controls. (of course the darn thing worked when he was - just like the TV did not freeze up again until tonight, after he was gone.)
