within DU posts to link to a specific portion of a long post?

Then will
[link:www.democraticunderground.com/subdir/post_url_info#a_name_tag_name|Tag
Name] work from within other DU posts?

I'm putting together a long post in which I'd like to point to
specific parts of the post, saving the reader some scrolling
time and use the link from within some of my DU posts.

use Preview in a reply to someone else's thread. Just don't forget and click Post Message or you'll have to do some splainin' about your loopy post :)
