Katrina pets are up for adoption
Edited on Mon Dec-05-05 03:55 PM by Patiod
My friend works at one of the best (if not the best) Humane Societies in the US, and they took in quite a few animals from New Orleans. In spite of many of them having tags, they haven't had much luck tracking down the owners, who have scattered to the wind.

So the pets, who were being fostered, are now up for adoption. In one way, that's good - they'll have solid happy homes.

But it breaks my heart for the families in New Orleans who loved these animals, and weren't permitted to take them out of the city.

1. When I was at my Rottie's vet today, there was a Katrina
doggie survivor. She has been in a cage for three months. She looked like a small border collie. I would have taken her in a heartbeat, but I have a Rottie and another dog that I am fostering.

2. Do they have a web site?
If so, can you post a link?
