2 hours sleep tonight -- foster dog is here

tried to put him in crate -- he whined, cried and scratched... ended up sleeping in the den with him -- or rather I got about 2 hours of sleep before making the mistake of getting up to go to the bathroom

this woke up IBU --yeah that's his name (see recap - http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=243x2750#2776) he also had to go to bathroom, as well as our other two dogs, which in turn woke up the cats who all demanded breakfast...

my eyes are propped up with toothpicks about now... I haven't tried to function on 2 hours sleep in about 30 years...

meanwhile -- I'm thinking of calling him Ivan instead of Ibu... sounds better and close enough to his call name...

I've never had the heart to keep a dog in a crate all night - they end up in the bed with me from the first night on!

3. at the moment

the two greyhounds are sleeping on the futon and the airdale by my feet, one cat on a chair next to me and another is on the scanner -- not sure where the other two cats are but it's quiet

maybe I can sneak a nap?

we were spoiled -- the greyhound we adopted was in a previous home for a year, and the other one we fostered was just a sweetie pie who got lots of attention from her handlers/owners

BTW - we decided to shorten Ibu's name down to BOO -- I just can't call him something named after a pill...
