Please sign the petition for an ASPCA unit in Atlanta, GA

This is a post from one of my animal rescue Yahoo groups. I don't think you have to live in Georgia to sign it.

I've posted enough petitions about animals on DU that I'm ready and willing to support yours! Thanks for posting this. I used to just pass these on to friends, via e-mail, but posting a petition on DU exposes it to countless more animal lovers and hundreds more signatures! An inspired idea!:-)

on edit: I read it over, and they prefer signatures of Georgia residents, but they don't ask anything but your name and e-mail address. I will pass this on to friends, who I know will sign it, and hope that others do, as well. We have pretty tough animal protection laws in NY State, though there are always still abuses, but they are prosecuted. It's time for the rest of the states to catch up!:-(

The best chance to gather as many signatures, as possible. It is hard to believe that Atlanta, one of the largest metropolitan areas of the South, is without an ASPCA unit. I'm giving this another kick, hoping others on DU will sign and also pass this on.

I can't believe Atlanta doesn't already have an local unit.

If it wasn't for the rescue groups, there would be even more dogs and cats euthanized.

Vegetarian/Animal Rights Group, so a whole different, but equally sympathetic, group of people will see it!:-)
