Kitten lost for 25 days in subway found
I thought you might enjoy this story about how subway workers found a kitten who had escaped from her kitty carrier 25 days earlier. http://www.nydailynews.com/news/2008/02/16/2008-02-16_georgia_rules_kitten_found_after_scamper.html

What really struck me was that the subway workers decided to meow in an effort to locate the kitten. The kitten meowed back and the workers were able to find her.
I meow back and forth to my cats. They really do like it.

5. Leg surgery for rescued cat
A terrified black kitten rescued after more than three weeks in a Manhattan subway tunnel has a second ordeal to endure Monday - surgery on her broken leg.

Georgia, a 7-month-old feline found 26 days after she bolted from her travel case on a midtown platform, suffered a fractured back leg during her underground stay.

"Hopefully she's going to come through everything and be pretty normal," Georgia's worried owner, Ashley Phillips, said Sunday.

I just hate it when they give ALL the gory details of some sort of animal abuse that was discovered..
It truly gives me nightmares.
