Congo Shocker: Owner Puts Down Freed Death Row Dog
Edited on Sat Jun-28-08 11:22 PM by CC
OK it is time for someone to intervene and keep all dogs away from these people IMHO.

*snip*
The shocking twist in Congo’s story follows an incident on Tuesday that occurred when Guy James and his wife, Elizabeth, were entertaining Elizabeth's mother, Constance Ladd, 75. Ladd was injured when Congo and three of the family’s other dogs inadvertently jumped on her, according to Guy James. Ladd opened a door to exit the Jameses house when the dogs rushed in, James says.

“They started jumping on her, no vicious manner, no barking, no growling,” James said. “It was just they were jumping. They like to jump. They were basically kind of greeting her.

“I guess when the dogs were jumping, and their paws and their nails hit her, it ripped her skin pretty bad on her arm.

“But unfortunately, her skin is very thin and I guess one of the dogs, all the dogs, made contact with her skin and ripped it.”

1. WTF?
I'm not sure what anyone else's reaction to this is ... but there's no way in HELL I would have taken ONE, let alone ALL dogs to be put down after that incident. I'm not sure what to make of this entirely but - they did the WRONG thing as far as I'm concerned.

Perhaps these people are better off not having dogs they aren't committed to training, I guess.

2. The original stories can be found
here http://www.zootoo.com/petnews/familysfightsavesdogfromdeathr . I just can not believe they killed them all after fighting to save Congo. It does make me question their side of the story on the original incident now though. Hell if they didn't want them I bet there were hundreds of people that would of adopted them and trained them properly.

3. There people need to never have dogs
Especially large dogs.

I feel so bad for those dogs. What a shame. I'm infuriated reading that article.
