I volunteer there so I went in to the cat cage room to give some a little relief. I took a long-haired gray male named Stickers out of his cage and all he wanted to do was snuggle. Twice he put both arms around my neck and hugged me. No clawing either. Please send him some thoughts to be adopted by someone who wants a cat in their lap and around their neck. I'd take him home, but I currently feed 5 cats that live around my yard. There is no room for more.
3. I feed 5 cats on my .19 acre. I am going to start
fostering a dog---only on weekends. I'll be sure to pet stickers everytime I go---which is twice a week for the Pit Crew, pit bull training class. I am learning much about dog obedience. I had never been hugged by a cat before.
7. The shelter has a cadre of young teens who spend
every minute they can there. I told them about Stickers today, and one went to check her out. The animals get very good care. The dogs get walked almost daily or played with in a play area. The kids take a few into the meet and greet room just to hang out. The staff all seem kind. It is a good place to wait for a forever home. Only unadoptable animals are euthanized.
