My rude bird

I was talking to my Mom on the phone, had both my bird Murphee and the phone on the floor.

Murphee pushed the Hold button on grandma!! :wow: :( And then pecked at me when I tried to shoo her away to fix the problem! :wow:

Little brat. :)

1. Precocious, aren't they?
Mine would have probably REMOVED one of the buttons rendering the phone unusable.
(I learned that with the remote....)

3. My Amazon used to have a remote-control fetish.
He would climb off his cage in order to get ahold of remotes and tear the numbers off. I had to replace my roommates' remote after a typical Amazon parrot remodeling job. :)

4. Your lucky she didnn't bite chew the button off.
My TV remote is missing 2 1/2 buttons due to a certain Senegal beak. :-)

What kind of bird is Murphee?
edit: seen in another thread M is a tiel, too

My cockatiel (RIP) used to waddle over to the phone every time I was using it. He HAD to speak to whoever was on the other line - insistent, in fact, would start screaming if I didn't.

He would have his say (usually a rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr sound and some odd noises) and then walk away, happy.

Everyone used to get a laugh out of it.

6. Yeah, mine has to be the center of attention, too.
If she is on my shoulder when I get a call, she has to put her two cents in.
