1. Good stuff. A warm kitty is a happy kitty.

Milo is happy.

2. My puppy dog is welcome to sleep on the bed
but he doesn't. I think my electric blanket and down comforter are way too hot for him. There is an old loveseat in the sunroom, which is the coldest room in the house, and thats where he sleeps at night.

For my old dog, I kept the heat higher when I was gone during the day, but for this one I can set the thermostat at 62 degrees. He is 7 months and he's fine.

3. My dog and two of my cats sleep on the bed with me.
We all cuddle together and keep each other warm. In fact, there are times that my dog or one of the cats will lay on my bed..right where I sleep, before I get into bed..and they warm up my spot for me. It is great.

In the summer, the cats sleep far away from me, while my dog only sleeps on my bed if I have the AC on.

6. Ceramic Heat Lamps (emit radiant heat without light)
These are great for a 'gentle' heat for outdoor pets, extra warmth for a litter, or wherever
heat without light is needed. They are often found where reptiles are sold, but can also
be found in pet stores or online:

7. I bought a heated bed a couple of years ago
Pad Thai loves it although I initially bought it for Lily. Lily sleeps on my pillow on the bed. One of those kitty throws might be just the thing for her. She shivers some in her old age. I think I'll get her a throw, thank you.

combination of heating pad and an old down quilt I found at a thrift store. Their bed is protected from the wind and elements and they all sleep together and crawl under the quilt on the really cold nights. The winters here are pretty mild, but it does freeze every now and then.

8. My furkids love the heated waterbed...
...especially in the winter.
I've got a fur-and-fleece blanket on it, and frequently my bed is graced with not only a furry blanket, but four cats either curled up, stretched out, or snuggled up together. :grouphug:

I go and sleep in the recliner a lot...:P

11. "Milk House" Heater
These are nice little heaters for protected outdoor or drafty indoor spaces.
They automatically turn off if tipped over and/or when the temperatures get too high.
