Need advice about cat's litter use

Or should I say lack thereof.

We have two rescue cats, got them when they were about 6 months old. We lived in a mobile home at the time and had no problems with either of them concerning using the litter box correctly.

We moved into a brand new house about a year ago. One of our cats started to use a corner of the dining room as her personal spot. We have tried everything we can think of - taken her to the vet, bigger boxes, more boxes, moving the boxes, different litter, more litter, less litter, extremely clean litter, etc. She still uses the box sometimes, but sometimes she still goes to her spot. We have cleaned the carpet in this area over and over again and it is beginning to wear out already. We don't know what to do. We have considered finding her a new home, which I don't want to do.

Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance! :hi:

I used it with my fosters who weren't box trained and had pretty much 100% box usage. You might also spray Feliway around your home to sooth her nerves. Good luck!

We ordered a Feliway/Anti Icky-Poo combo (funny name, but it gets out the stains) and will look up the cat attract.

On edit: PetSmart has the Cat Attract litter, so we will go buy some this weekend - thanks again! :hi:

It works as far as I am concerned. BUT when our guy was going outside the box, it was because he was trying to draw our attention to a Urinary tract infection that he had. Somehow cats know to do this, so please make sure that is not the issue.
