2. Snoochie Bootches and the little one is Randall....
both names are from the movie Jay and Silent Bob.
We got Snootchie two years prior to Randall from a shelter, she was the only dog not barking and it made us think of Silent Bob. That name didn't fit because she was female and also very lovable so we chose a phrase from the movie.
Randall on the other hand is just like the character in the movie very whiny and demanding but oh sooo cute.

5. I understand. My dog's are "Marley-like" and I do use choke collars.
They establish the Alpha position quickly for most dogs. It only took a couple of uncomfortable walks and now when they hear me with a collar, they will run and slip their heads into the collar with excitement.

I have a large fenced in back yard great for frisbees and tennis balls so I really don't "need" to walk them that much but, they love to go out and strut their stuff along the roadsides we walk.

But, if they decide, they could take me for a walk because together, they outweigh me.

6. we lost a dog to a choke collar, so elected not to use them.
our larger dog has always been a good walker but it is taking us awhile with the small one, he definitely wants to be in the Alpha position. We recently found a new type of harness that controls the head by pulling down it is working in teaching him to slow down and enjoy his walk. We also have a large back yard but they love their walks best.

7. I am sorry to hear that.
That's the reason the choke collar is only worn during a walk. Too many horror stories out there. As you know, with a larger dog that decides it wants to play with a smaller person who wants to give a hug, control is tantamount.

But, yes, I think they all love being with their "buddies" exploring areas and being a part of the larger pack that you head up. Walks rule!
