Pad Thai is driving me crazy
He senses the weather outside is starting to moderate, so he is yoweling at all the doors and windows. Yes I've tried to take him on a leash but the cat gets out of his harness and wants to scurry into the woods where there is no path. He will play with the feather teaser for a little while then goes back to his unhappy routine.

Against the condo's rules, I am even considering adopting a third cat. Poor Lily at 14 is just too old and has never wanted to play with him. Really I don't have room for a third cat but this Siamese is driving me crazy! Anybody with experience please give me a hand.

1. A half hour later . . .
The little bugger is fast asleep. I guess he's most obnoxious when he's trying not to sleep because I'm home.

2. I can relate!
Puck has been doing the same daily here and I work at home, so there's no escaping her! She walks on a harness quite well, so I do take her out at night. If it's raining or I'm just too busy she just goes nuts, and I often have to shut her out of my studio (she'll claw at the door for half an hour sometimes...). she WILL give up after a while and chase Oberon around the house instead, or try to play with Miro -which usually ends with him hissing and growling quite a bit. Like Pad Thai, she's a near East breed which means loads of energy and a high kitty IQ (trouble)! She has a few toys which offer a bit of distraction; one is called the panic mouse-it's a motorized fishing pole toy. She also has an expandable kitty play tunnel ($14 form Petco) which she uses as a slip n' slide, lol! One of those circular ball in a trac toys can provide some amusement, too. If you can put one of those suction cup bird feeders with a one way window outside, I'm sure Pad Thai would find it to be a good source of "kitty TV". You're right, though; adopting a young kitten would be best. Siamese, Tonkinese, Turkish Angora, Burmese, Oriental, Abyssinian, Somali...a kitten that is all or part of one of those breeds will be able to keep up with your energetic Asian noodle cat. ;-)

3. I did break out the new Kitty Walk later
It took a bit to get it together -

It's still a little chilly up here but we had about 45 minutes outside - it was about 50 degrees, Pad Thai in the Kitty Walk and Lily sniffing around the pansies and crocus. (I trust her because she never goes far from the patio). And we enjoyed watching the birds from our various vantage points.

After a while curiosity took over and the paws started playing through the Kitty Walk so I decided it was time to go in.

4. Are those things fairly sturdy?
do you need to keep a close eye on Pad Thai when he's out in his "walk", or can you let him play by himself inside it for a while?

5. I don't have a backyard per se
so it's a constant watch as dogs do free range around here (though they aren't supposed to). It's a sturdy contraption. The frame is comprised of thin metal polls which fit together tightly. The mesh is fishnet dyed green as far as I can tell. I don't think he could get out of it, however he could still get into trouble if a dog passes by that wanted to give him some trouble.

His small agile paws do go through the holes in the net. Today it will hit 65 here. I'll take him out when I get home from work for a little while. He seemed much more subdued last night. He only started crying his usual "Monday Morning" cry because I was getting ready for work.
