Anyone here currently feeding their cats Natura EVO?
I went through something like 10 of the 15 lb bags before quiting the EVO and replaced it with Solid Golds Katz-n-Flocken. That was about 3 years ago but recently I restarted feeding the EVO again along with the Katz-n-Flocken, Indigo Moon and others. So this past Saturday I brought home a new bag of EVO which I have been buying one bag a month for the last six months and its been accepted very well by all the cats. With this new bag of EVO though my cats are not liking it. Three days in a row now I find it mostly uneaten and this morning when I closely looked at it I see that it is not the same as before. The kibble is much flattened in profile and noticeably a lighter color. I had a little leftover from the previous bag of EVO and am thus able to compare the two.
So I called up Natura Pet Products customer service and of course they dismissed the problem as the "normally slight variances in product appearance". I think the women I talked to didn't hear me when I said that I have more then ten cats that gave this new EVO a big paws down. I hate this when these pet foods vary in quality. Yeah, I know its satisfaction guaranteed or return for money back. I'm mulling over weather I should quit the EVO or should I return to the store and find an earlier dated bag. Anyone else here have this same experience with their EVO for cats?

1. I have not used EVO, but had a similar experience with Wellness Dog Food.
They changed the way the food was made and did not make an announcement..but if you read the package closely and compared the old and new packages, you saw differences.

If your cats do not eat it...do not feed it to them. They may sense something you cannot.
In most cases, if there is any doubt, there should be no doubt...change foods.
I give my cats Merrick...kibble and canned. They love it.

I give my dog the Merrick food as well.

5. Me too with the Wellness dry foods.
My cats get Wellness canned food every day though. As for the EVO I'm finished with it.
The Merrick I see on the stores shelf but haven't tried it.

2. see if you can find old packaging? Had a bad experience with Canidae last summer
Sudden formula change gave my dog awful diarrhea and, as in your case, no notice of a change so no time to adjust.

Thankfully I've found a better food for them.

I'm surprised to hear people having this with Wellness and EVO products, but who knows.

3. We tried it for our four cats and they didn't like it but our dogs love EVO.
I now combine Royal Canan 32 and California Natural and Instinct. My cats seem to like the California Natural a lot and the Instinct. These aren't much more than what you are spending now. May even be the same price. One cat became allergic to EVO as it is too rich. Our other cat cannot eat it as he is on special food. I have five cats.

6. You have five cats.
Thats a lot of cats! Hope they are five good ones. Mine are mixed, some good and some trouble cats.
I have tried out that RC32 and RC30 but never stay with it for long. I do always have the Calif Nat Chic on hand but I don't serve it every day. I'm finished with the EVO.

4. Yeah, mine aren't as wild about it lately either
but I chalk that up to their love of indigo moon. They just can't get enough of that stuff!

7. I just love the packaging.
Its really almost garish looking but very attractive yet. Its by far the best packaging of all in my opinion for keeping the freshness sealed in. I always look for the bags that still have a tight vacuum seal. I'm commenting on the Indigo Moon cat dry food packaging here for those that don't know about it. As for the EVO I'm not buying it anymore. It's alarming when my cats reject any kind of kibble thats labeled cat food. I suspect that Natura goofed and didn't get that spray on flavoring just right on this batch of EVO. I'm just going to serve up more of the two Solid Golds and Eagle Pack Holistic Chic.
