It was a tough, but easy, decision - sweet "baby" kitty now in the Happy Hunting Grounds
We miss him terribly but we had to let him go; the vet said there was nothing that could be done for his cancer other than that. We took him home and had a couple hours with him, before bringing him back in the afternoon for his euthanasia (which was gentle). I'm leaving his photo in my sig for now.

1. From my four-leggeds and my family, we are truly sorry for your loss. You are very
brave and strong to have made that decision. What a beautiful baby. We just lost our Scotty-poo to C and I couldn't get her to the Vet in time so she passed at home. Your decision affirms to me that letting them go at the Vet or with a Vet at home is the best decision for their sake and the family's. Blessings.

2. So sorry for your loss.
RIP, sweet "baby" kitty. I have a 16-year old - we've been together since he was a kitten. I dread the day when I will have to make the same difficult decision.

5. Thank you, alstephenson
All we can do, really, is give them our love while we still can. All my best to you and your little guy.

(BTW, we had our Petey until he was 22 years old, and I've heard of cats living longer.)

9. It's so hard to make that decision, but when you see how they suffer
from some cancers it's a relief to know they have a peaceful death. It doesn't make it any easier, though. Six months later and I still burst into tears talking about my dear boy, Stinker. You have my deepest sympathy.

10. What a gorgeous baby....a ragdoll?
I am sure that he is still watching over you...and making sure that you are ok without him..

Time and tears seem to be the only answer....

11. Sorrow for your loss...
Sometimes a 'boost' to the Bridge is the kindest thing you can do...even though it breaks your heart.

I truly believe they do stay where they've been loved and continue to watch over us...O8)

Your 'Baby Kitty' certainly was a beautiful boy!
