Zelda.
Edited on Sat Sep-11-10 12:06 AM by Liberal In Texas

My doggie had brain surgery today.

She made it through. But I would appreciate any good vibes DUers could send her way as she recovers.

This is the first time she hasn't been without her papa and mama overnight since being adopted 9 years ago.

I think she is terrified. I would be.

I don't know what I'll do without her if she doesn't make it.

Thanks for thinking about my little "ragidy muffin".

2. Thanks.
A lot.

Bestest doggie I have ever had.

Damn.

At least she is in good hands.

She had 3 neurosurgeons when they took the tumor out. (2cm x 1.5 cm) Not large but she doesn't have a large brain.

The lead surgeon even postponed her flight out of town to work on Zelda.

Oi.

I have only cried 3 times today. I'm OK. Really.

6. Can you bring her something?
A REALLY funky T-shirt (the object is to smell a lot like you) or something for her to have while she recuperates at the vet's?
It will help her feel loved and less stressed and lonely.

12. Thoughts for precious Zelda
I am a pet owner for the first time in 18 years and am blown away by how our puppy we've had for two months has taken residence in my heart. I hope your Zelda does well, I am sure she is afraid without you. Our little pup puts her front legs around my neck to get her temp taken at the vet's.

13. What a lovely little girl...
Hope she is feeling much better, and you, too.
Did you take her something that had scents of you and your husband
on it? That will really make her feel better...honestly.
Keep us posted....z and skye.
