Pandora
I posted on here awhile back about my native american indian dog Pandora, looking for advice on her house breaking problem. You were all so helpful and first off thank you, I took your collective advice and it had indeed made a difference. I didn't post sooner because I didn't trust her not to revert. I feel so bad about that. Sunday night Pandora slipped the front door of our new home and ran out into traffic. She has done this before, but had always been lucky. We lived on a very busy road before and I was always so blessed that she made it back every time, but when we moved we moved just a few streets off of a major high way (US-41). I don't think she understood the danger, she was like a dancer in traffic and the cars, no matter how close she would get before always ended up passing her like ghosts. She seemed so shocked when it didn't work out that way this time. The whole way out there she was barely yards in front of me. I just couldnt reach her... she made it across four lanes of traffic once and stood across the highway from me. Then she turned around and came back. She made it across another three. I dont know if she decided to come back for me or if she just wanted to play her game some more but she was hit and managed to roll down into a ditch. She looked around like she had no idea cars worked that way. My husband ran home and got the car and she made it long enough to get to the emergency vets but they couldn't save her.

I'm sorry if I'm rambling, it's just that I wasn't going to post this for awhile but I found a tennis ball and it was whole. That's a big deal. They didn't stay whole. Ever. She always, always ripped them up within an hour or two. Always. We haven't bought tennis balls since we moved. It was whole and it was old and it was covered in her fur.

I miss her so much.

7. Your beautiful girl had a good life with you. So sorry it had to
end too soon. No matter how much time we have with our dear furry ones, it always seems too short. May you find peace and comfort in your memories of happy times with Pandora.

8. ...
Sorrow for the loss of your Pandora...

Understand about finding the tennis ball...you think you're OK (or as OK as you're gonna get) and then you get blindsided and it hurts all over again.

I just Googled this kind of dog...they are indeed beautiful!
