My Rabbit got out of her cage
last week which was outside for the summer. My neighbor thought he saw her yesterday so last night I moved my Have-a-Heart trap near that area. I've trapped plenty of cats successfully (to take them to the vet, etc.) just wondering if anyone has tips/experience with recapturing a runaway rabbit. BunBun likes cornsilk so I'm going to buy some fresh ears of corn today to scatter around the trap. Anyone know anything else that is irresistable to bunnies? TIA.

1. My brother has pet rabbits. He says they love bananas.

2. Aha!!!
Thanks! I just bought some today along with the fresh corn. I must have picked up on your message while I was wondering what fruit to get at the grocery store. :)

3. Good luck - I hope your bunny comes back for the bananas.
At least you can be pretty sure you won't catch any cats with them.

5. FYI
Well something ate up some of the cornsilk and ALL of the banana I put out. Unfortunately the trap did not spring though. I'm going to oil it up really well and test it. The trap is fairly old -- 8 years of more so it may need some cleaning around the trap trigger mechanism. The rabbit may not weigh enough to trigger the trap too so I'm thinking of tieing a piece of banana to the top of the trap at the end so maybe the rabbit will have to put more pressure on the mechanism that triggers the trap to get the banana.
