1. I'll drive across town to have dinner
at my Mom's house then I'll come home and bring turkey for the kitties with me.

3. Driving - Pets Staying @ Home with Pet Sitter
We don't like to kennel our dog as she gets very out of sorts when she stays away from home for too long, so she and our two cats will be getting a pet sitter.

4. Since we have three big dogs and a dachshund, we sometimes
have to pen our dogs up when company comes because otherwise, they're all over the guests who love them but maybe not as much as we do!

We have a sunroom across the entire back of our house and at one end, we have a wire gate stretched where the doggy door is. When the gate is closed, it forms an 8x12 pen with a big sliding glass door on one side. There's a futon mattress and carpet on the floor. Here's a picture (before we got the futon):

They won't spend all of Thanksgiving Day there but probably while we're eating.

6. God help me...
I'll have four cats weaving around my legs and meowing loudly AS SOON AS they smell the turkey in the oven. It's gonna be a long day.

7. 90 Pound Hound got ALL frisky when he saw me bring the turkey in.
Yep, he recognized it even in its frozen & packaged state. Boy was he crestfallen when I took it to the basement to put in the freezer. "Hey, mom, wouldn't that be better off in the oven?"

We were walking by the store yesterday and he saw some neighbors putting a frozen turkey in their car. He decided to drag me over to visit with them...

The cat, well, this will be her first tryptophan festival. She is brand new this year.
