we are OFFICIALLY nuts
last September we fostered this sweetheart of a lovesponge Greyhound named Mint.

broke our hearts when we sent her off to what we thought was her forever home. Well, the "forever" home is getting a divorce and neither soon-to-be-x-spouses can take her -- so she's coming back to the Greyhound Rescue

well, we left a message with the rescue group asking we can adopt her.

waiting for a call back....

meanwhile we are still fostering Abeline... have two other dogs Sunny (greyhound) and Dax (airedale), plus 4 cats - Kudra, Dutch, Poohkah and Gato....

1. Adopt her? Like, Forever home adopt her? That's awesome!!
Nuts? Maybe. Wonderful? Absolutely.

Hope Abeline finds a home soon, too.

Will you take another foster when Abeline is adopted if you get to adopt Mint?

3. we talked to the rescue people last night
they will waive the adoption fee if we continue to do fostering

we told them we would give it a try to see how it works with that many dogs in the house -- but we wouldn't be able to foster from June through September

we are going on a short 4-day vacation in June, then friends arrive for a visit in July, my partner's family will be here in August and then my family makes an appearance in September

the family that has Mint, also has another greyhound that is looking for a home -- when they find a home or foster for the other dog we will be able to get Mint. They live a couple of hours away, and easier for them to give up both dogs at the same time

6. Good for you!
If more people were like you then think how much nicer this world would be. I'm sure Mint will be very happy in your home. Congrats.
