Found out my beagle LOVES snow!

I just got her in April from the shelter so haven't been through a winter with her yet. We got about 6 inches of snow here in Kansas City last night. When I first opened the back door, she took a look out and went and hid behind the door. I stepped out and tried to coax her and she took another look and went behind the door again.

So I picked her up and we both went outside and BAM! she was off! Running like a crazy dog. Then I let her back in and normally she's back on the sofa but NO, five minutes and she's whining at the back door so I let her out again. And then she wouldn't come in...

I finally had to go out in the 6 inches of snow and round her up. And now she's looking out the front window and whining again! Poor puppy, I have to go to work so no more snow play until later.

I've never had a beagle before. Do they normally like the snow this much? She doesn't seem to have too much of a coat on her, is the cold hard on them?
