Dean heading South this Sunday and also in March.

Howard Dean Comes to Lexington
It's been a marvel of a poorly kept secret, but as many of you know, Howard Dean is coming to Lexington this Sunday, January 23.

Gov. Dean is coming to Lexington for two reasons:

1) to thank Change for Kentucky supporters across the state for the hard work we've done over the past 18 months- working for candidates, raising money, walking precincts and helping to re-energize the Democratic Party.

2) to spend some time listening to the grassroots Democrats in Kentucky; and talk to us about his vision for the future of the Democratic Party. Gov. Dean is running for the Chairmanship of the Democratic National Committee, and coming to Kentucky is a great indication of his commitment to making Democrats a "50-State" Party again.

UPDATE: we have reached our attendance limit for this event. We can no longer take reservations, and there are no plans to have open seating.

MS Democrats to welcome Dean.

In a little over a month, former Vermont Gov. Howard Dean will be in the Magnolia State. While here he will serve as guest speaker for a dinner in Jackson to honor Democratic elected officials in the state.

Dean has made public his desire to be the new chairman of the Democratic National Committee. Local party officials say it appears his wish could become true.

"A lot of people like him," says Lauderdale County Democratic Chair Melba Clark. "He has better name recognition and Howard Dean was a strong contender for the Democratic nomination until the media saw him a little out of character and made an effort, I think, to portray him as some kind of buffoon and it turned the people against him."

Dean to talk at WSU forum
Friday, January 28, 2005
By TOM VOGT, Columbian staff writer

"Howard Dean, 2004 presidential hopeful and now a front-runner to head the Democratic Party, will speak in Vancouver on Tuesday, April 12.
Dean's appearance at Skyview High School, 1300 N.W. 139th St., is tentatively scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
Dean is bidding to become chairman of the Democratic National Committee. But, the outcome of the Feb. 12 committee meeting in Washington D.C., will not affect Dean's message here, said Carolyn Long, an associate professor at WSU Vancouver.

WSU Vancouver hopes to use Dean's appearance as part of a wider look at civic participation."
