He's ALREADY starting with the speculation that Dean will bail and run in 08.

Trippi reaffirmed the widespread belief that Dean will serve as chairman of the Democratic National Committee but added that he expects the former governor to leave the DNC before 2008 to run for president a second time.

Joe once answered a question about whether Dean spoke before thinking by saying, No- just before calculating (or something similar) POT. KETTLE.

It wouldn't bother ME of course but if that's what happens it will only be because the party has rigidly resisted the reform Dean is determined to impart.

Joe, you gotta believe ;)

1. Trippi gives Dean left-handed compliments.
He always does that....he was not very good on Laura Flanders last night. He waffled and equivocated and was not good.

2. Like trippi knows what Dean is going
to do.

I like Capn Sunshine's post on Dean's not running in 2008..

"If you knew how much Howard Dean HATES running for president

Edited on Mon Feb-07-05 02:07 PM by Capn Sunshine
you'd rethink the "planning" part. We all WANT him to run, but believe me, if an acceptable populist Dem with the right message is in the mix, Howard Dean won't run--- he will bust his ass for him. Look what he did for Kerry."

4. No problem with him running in 08 for me, but that is his decision
to make and I doubt he shared it with Trippi at this point.

6. The thing is, it's unusual for anyone to serve as DNC chair for that long
It's "hard work," LOL! Terry McCauliffe served for four years, and that's unusual!

7. Trippi isn't so much against anyone
so much as he is out for himself.

8. Trippi is making excuses as to why HE helped Dean lose the race for Prez
Trippi was bad mouthing Dean in a documentary before he was let go, and then acted like he was stabbed in the back when he was canned.

Trippi has many pluses, but he's not honest with himself about his contribution to Dean's loss.
