Topics for stories
I enjoy writing and researching. Over the next few months of recuperation, I thought I just come out and ask my favorite group?
What astrological questions do you have? Many questions have already been addressed in earlier newsletters. NO question is too silly. What Astrological questions do you wonder about. Perhaps I can address some of you issues.

1. Sure I can think of a few...
Where are the oldest astrological writings to be found to date?
Which civilization developed it and do we know why or how it developed?
And why are Capricorns just so awesome?

I got more but didn't want to take over the thread. :P

7. It all comes from ancient Chaldea
It was revealed to us through time. The natural archetypes eventually expose their truths. In time, they became and are beoming more refined at all times. In other words. Aries is an aggressive sign. It's not timid, It can't be.

And I'd be glad to butter myself up and answer 'Why Capricorns are so awesome", but first I have to know how you perceive them.

3. What is this seeming paradox between reincarnation and individual personalities
being available via medium? Does not the individual life personality move on and reincarnate so as to not be available as a spiritual ancestor? Or are incarnations individual and infinite, and the higher self merely moves on to create new incarnations resolving karma and creating new learning via the learning pool from its previous incarnations?

Of course, all incarnations are happening simultaneously, so that could be a hint in the right direction... ??

4. Are Cancers screwed? Can that be a topic?
Edited on Sat Aug-22-09 01:52 PM by get the red out
Someone mentioned that Cancers and Capricorns are basically screwed over the next year, going to loose their jobs, their relationships, or a loved one, because of these eclipses (or at least, being paranoid, that's what I heard).

Of course I immediately pulled back into my shell and began to obsess upon hearing this. ;-)

To be honest, I don't know much about Astrology, but when I get out of my shell a little bit I get a taste of something like this and wish I hadn't wanted to know at all, LOL! I feel like I would be much better off if the lady teaching the psychic workshop I attended hadn't even mentioned this, she made light of Cancers and Cappies being just basically ruined for the next year to year and a half.

My office is going to move to another building during the next year (and guess who will get to pack it all and make sure it gets put back in the right places?), I sure hope this will be enough pure, absolute misery for this Cancer and will serve as enough suffering to please the Universe!

So I guess I am asking if people can have some hope from these eclipses rather than just doom. I prefer to think of energies as big pictures to guide our free will rather than things we are totally helpless against. I do feel quite a bit of spiritual change since all those eclipses, but it has been for the better and anything but a disaster for me. It was like clockwork actually, I immediately gave up my news addiction with the last eclipse (without putting the two things together for weeks), and ALL facets of my life immediately began to improve. My emotional state has improved in amazing ways as well. So can these things be working for good and not ill?

I hate watching for the other shoe to drop. That is a misery in itself, but that's what I've been doing since the workshop I attended.

I apologize that my question is obviously selfish.

5. WRONG WRONG WRONG WRONG
It's their attitude that is screwed.
NO PLANET works against you. Period. And I am a double-Capricorn.
It's not a selfish question at all.

You go with the flow of energies from God through you, or you don't

That psychic shouldn't be "reading" for anyone.
seriously

You are not cursed
God brings you love at every moment.

She had a crappy past.

6. I don't know whether you've covered these things before
Edited on Sat Aug-22-09 05:47 PM by Sanity Claws
1. Secondary and tertiary progressions -- what they are, what do they mean to the person whose chart is being read.

2. Progressions vs. transits - I'm never quite sure when to look at a transit chart or a progressed chart

3. does the rising sign really indicate how you project yourself into the world?

4. Are there any indications in a chart that a person is rigidly conservative in politics or religion?

5. I understand that Pisces is the most common sign among the really wealthy. Is that accurate? If so, why do Pisces people tend to wealth?

Hope one of those ideas is something you take a fancy to.

Also, Rick, nice to see you back. Rest up!

15. In response
they are methods of moving a chart forward in time and are very telling.
1. A Secondary chart - Each day after birth represents 1 year of real time. In other words, I am born 1/1/52. On 1/31/52 the planetary placements would reflect happenings in my 30th YEAR.

2. Tertiary - seldom used but still accurate. Each MONTH after your birth represents a year of life. So for me, 1/1/53 would represent my 12th year. They can all work and be accurate at the same time.

The progressed chart is an indication of how your NATAL chart is unfolding through time. I see them as largely positive affirmations.

3 Yes. the rising sign has a lot to do with how you project yourself or are seen by the world - it's even much more integral. It's as if your Sun sign focuses thru it.

4. Sometimes those with strong Saturn/Capricorn/Taurus/Virgo will tend towards conservative while those heavy with Uranus/Aquarius the opposite. It's not that simple though. Planets and signs have nothing to do with political/religious leanings.

One will note the extreme conservative energies in the charts of Hannity, Limbaugh, O'Reilly, and Beck.

5. No. Pisces has little to do with wealth. If any one sign tends to wealth it's Scorpio and perhaps Taurus.

I'm resting, I'm resting.

thanks

What are trines and how do they work?!?

What does in mean if something is squared?!?

What is AC-DC and how does it work what effects does it play?!?

If I think of anymore questions I'll post them.

Thanks for wanting to have our input.

9. trines
two planets 120 degrees apart or 1/3 of the circle. the two planets are said to be operating in harmonious accord with one another.
A leeway (orb) of about 9 degrees is given.

A square is similar except it's 1/4 of the circle or apprx. 90 degrees. The two planets "fight" with each other. It can mild or very troublesome but usually impels the personality to resolution.

12. well this might be convoluted - what if you have had many chart
readings and even did a weekend workshop of reading your own in small group settings (30 years ago) and just feel like your chart has so many conflicts and opposites and your life seems to always be conflict with people, places or things And you have tried to make the best decision at the time but nothing seems right and you feel you have made a wrong turn

It has been 30 years and feeling like completely off path for 20 years and can't recover and don't know what is best to do or be

You find things you want to do but are told you don't have the credentials so you get them and they give it to someone else without credentials or pay for them to go get the credentials or you are moved out of income producing activities to give it to some newbie without the credentials.

Sometimes when things are so awful some of the best things happen but it is like you don't have time for joy because you are being socked by reality and your car falls apart and you are scammed out of a huge amount of money and just when you thinking you are getting ahead, wham, the rug comes out from under you and your income is reduced by 75%. Under constant stress and duress. And you constantly are starting over every 7 years from scratch.

Then I think of you and the heart surgery, talk about wham, that would be catastrophic for me without insurance - But in your life or someone else's it is still a wake up call - a change of direction - a reprieve

I have read others charts mostly by the major transits and have being able to be helpful to them but my own - it just doesn't seem to let up. or it lets up for maybe a couple of months. Security seems illusive. Safety too. Definitely different.

18. group deaths
Is there any kind of astrological commonality typically involved when a group of people, who are closely associated, dies together? Perhaps to do with the group itself on some level? I was watching the movie "Marshall" yesterday and wondered if it were a freewill/chance disaster, or could something like that have something show up in some greater chart somewhere, like for the University (in this case), city, or airline? I just meant this as a general topic, using the movie as an example.

Totally different question, do the energies of the Universe affect people who are denied freedom in the extreme, or forced to live a life of abject and hopeless poverty to a lesser degree than they effect people in civilizations that allow them more choices in their lives? I have always wondered this regarding all spiritual thought outside the mainstream. So much we are given in Astrological and other "New Age" type discussion talks about "career" or "relationships", but what about people on the planet who have those things decided for them and face terrible penalties if they try to go against what they are told to do? There are people living like this in so=called "third world" countries, and also (though we usually don't want to see it) people forced to live in cults in this country who are never given any choices from the day they are born?

20. I have found that you are exactly right
When I read a chart; as I teach my students, there are 4 things to look for.
1. Things you're pretty sure of.
2. Things you have a hint at, but aren't exactly sure how the archetype is manifesting in the words of the client.
3. Things you'll never know.
4. Group or karmic stuff.

Yes, for instance, not each individual on board the Titanic had catastrophic chart transits that night. That is definitely group karma. I can't explain it, it's not my field; but I'm sure of it. Same for the Holocaust.

good questions

I do not believe in "penalties"; I believe that is nothing more than our projected guilt onto some imagined authority figure.

Good stuff.

21. Since I was born with one...
I find them to be a bitch. Period.

I've tried for many years to work around mine, but it's not easy.
It largely depends on what 4 planets are involved and how tight the aspects are. Each planet won't let the other one alone.
Example: My Jupiter opposes my Saturn, optimism vs pessimism
My Uranus opposes my Sun in Cap; new thought, liberal vs old thought, conservative

It cannot be looked at as a curse however.

Many, many very succesful people have them. THey force you off of your butt to do your best because the energies just won't stop fighting.

Whereas, people with very easy charts, few squares and a plethora of sextiles and trines might never be inspired towards their best.
THey take it for granted.

Make sense?
