Recurring Dream with more details each time - any thoughts
Dream last night again about leaving xxxx Corporate company and working part time for them and being let go

I quit my good paying corporate job and then changed my mind so they have let me continue working there but I am not an employee

Ralph not sure if he was a boss or colleague is in the dream and my boss from Drafting
My boss from drafting has to let me go and is reducing my work

this dream has occurred multiple times with different bits over the last six months

They are now letting me go permanently and I am begging for them not to since I don't have anything else

In past dreams I have gone and worked elsewhere as a draftsman again - back at the technology place with the old boss and then onto Altieri's but I am not any good any more. They are kind for awhile but I don't really produce anything so they have to let me go.

I am fearful and desperate.

1. Sounds similar to theater dreams I have had
If this is not a premonition type of dream, it may be a dream set up to deal with what you fear. I was able at one time, after years and years of having theater dreams where I didn't know my lines after too few rehearsals, or thrust on stage at the last minute and didn't know my lines, knew my lines before I hit the stage but forgot them as soon as I needed them, etc. ... had luck by telling myself prior to sleep that I wouldn't be part of a production that wouldn't supply me the lines ahead of time. I was able to incorporate that wording into the dream and they stopped for several years. (Unfortunately returned this summer as I am dealing with similar fear based job/expectation issues. meh.)

So, I peg this as a fear dream and if you think about it, you will come up the phrase you can employ to take the sting out of this for you. Maybe something like, 'well, how fortunate this news is for both of us as I just took an incredibly well paying job at xxxx corporation and was concerned about the jam I was going to put you in finding a replacement for me.' :P

2. For what it's worth,
a full thirty years after I left my airline job, I still occasionally dream about being back at the airport working. In my case it's probably just a basic anxiety dream, and it just gets set back in that old workplace.

I am inclined to suggest that this recurring dream is your mind's way of trying to deal with the situation. Just as in our waking time, we will dwell on certain events, thoughts, or actions and replay them over and over in our minds, so when we are asleep we'll dream certain events or situations over and over again to try to deal with them.

3. Exactly.
I was very excited the morning after I dreamt the repetitive dream with the new wording - that I had refused to be part of such an ill-prepared production and that I wasn't going to put myself in that position. Felt like I had stepped up to a new level.

For the OP's sake, hope that that's what it is.
