Has anyone used Edgar Cayce remedies?
He had various therapies and his therapy for migraine headaches involving using a castor oil pack on the lower abdomen. He believed that migraines were related to digestion issues.
Has anyone used this therapy or any of the other ones Edgar Cayce suggests?

2. Thanks
Great links.
Do you mind if I ask you why you took atomidine? How well did it work? Is it something you continue to take?

3. Glandular balance.

One, for my thyroid function. I have much more energy now. Secondly, I read it can de-calcify the pineal gland (different forum). I'm still drinking too much fluoridated water; but I have plans to change that. My dreams have changed somewhat. I will continue taking it. I don't need it every day. There are other web pages that discuss the dosage instructions. Too much CAN cause rapid heartbeat, insomnia, etc.

I've also started using Heritage Products Lavender water. I love it. There may be other things I'm using that I'm not connecting with Cayce at the moment. I love Cayce's materials.

***NOT medical advice. This is my experience and not intended to replace a health practitioner or Goddess forbid, BIG PHARMA.***

eta: Oh yeah. I'm also using this (though not ordered from this supplier)

8. Re: fluoridated water--I got a filter for fluoride installed a few weeks ago--cost
under $200 (I think it was about $175) for parts and labor combined. I'd have to dig up the receipt or check register, and I'm lazy! Anyway, more affordable than I thought it would be.

10. I would get a filter, but
the homeowner here would not agree. He is grumpy even about my plan to get home water delivery.
But that's what I'll do for now.

9. Heya
Did you take it on a hunch, or had your thyroid been tested? Your results are interesting. Oh, and have you tried kava yet? I upped my dose, and was very pleased.

11. Not entirely a hunch.

Intuitively, I felt my thyroid needed a boost. My lab tests have been low normal. My previous PCP was of the thought to treat at that level. I couldn't tolerate synthroid after taking for it about a week. That was years ago.

I decided against kava for now. I went with passion flower :D Are you having any numbness?
I'm also using melatonin and l-tryptophan.

14. I've been dealing with this for a long time, Why Syzygy
I just ordered some of that. I've been taking hormone replacements, thyroid medication, diet and exercise, vitamins, and I'm still exhausted and can't lose weight.

I'll let you know how it works for me. Thanks for the suggestion.

4. I made some celery seed tea the other day
for kidney help. I wasn't aware this was a Cayce remedy until I looked it up.
Too early to tell if it's working, but I'll update.

5. I've used Altiva's cornsilk tea for kidney detox with great success.
Don't know if detox was your concern, but that's worked really well for me.

12. I've read that our body carries most serotonin in our GI
around 90-95%, according to a few different sources. If you've dealt with migraines for awhile you might be aware of the connection to serotonin, but until recently I had assumed serotonin was all head located. Not really been sure what to do with that info except picked up some different cleanses to see if they do anything helpful, and I am intrigued about this info about Edgar Cayce, thank you, now I want to learn more.

13. when I hurt both my legs very badly in a bad fall in February of this year...
my dear friend Emma brought me a bottle of his potion for message oils. It is wonderful stuff and smells like almonds..and my physical therapist said it was the best she has ever used and wanted to find out where to get it. (my injuries healed very quickly with her help...although I am still being very careful and working on strengthening my ankles still.
My friend had bought it at a co-op. I would love to get some more myself as I also used it this summer instead of a suntan screen and my skin was a nice golden tan...no drying etc. The oil is quickly absorbed too..none of that greasy feel to it at all.
Thats the only thing of his I have used.

15. I've used many of Cayce's remedies at various times.
1. The castor oil packs are good for a lot of things. It's a sort of way to massage the colon and abdominal lymphatics.
2. Had a dream about using the Ipsab powder (baking soda and salt mainly) before going to bed as a way of preventing gum and tooth problems, esp as I get older. Wd recommend it.
3. I gargle with Glycothymoline and use it sometimes for eyestrain or sinus problems. I soak two squared up kleenex in glyco, lie down and put the two pads on my closed eyes for about 30 minutes. This is really effective for me and I've talked to several others who find it very effective too. Very few remedies work for everybody though. Using about 2-3 drops in the water you drink for about a week is also an excellent way to alkalize and normalize the colon and excretory system.
4. A mix of peanut oil and olive oil and a few other things makes an excellent after shave skin freshener. It's sold as Almond Glow I think or something like that. Also good for the skin in general. The oils supply what the skin needs, a good natural kind of skin preserver or whatnot.
5. I've tried Atomodine, a special kind of iodine that the body can handle more easily, as a way of stimulating the thyroid. It works for me. I knew a lady who tried it but said it didn't work for her.
6. Just chugging a couple gulps of olive oil each day is a good way to assist the functioning of the digestive system and maybe help delay any heart problems that might be lurking.
7. Eating 2-3 almonds a day was promoted in one Cayce reading as a way to fend off cancer. I've tried it but cdn't attest to its effectiveness other than to say I haven't been to a doctor about cancer, tho that doesn't mean I don't have cancer. The sun has come up every day as well, but can't say for sure that the almonds or olive help with that.

Good luck. There's more. Reilly's book, EDGAR CAYCE'S HANDBOOK TO HEALTH THRU DRUGLESS THERAPY is a really excellent book and has a ton of Cayce ideas for health.
