URGENT - Please send light, good thoughts, vibes, whatever....
FORT COLLINS, Colo. -- A 6-year-old boy is floating over northeastern Colorado in a homebuilt balloon and authorities are racing to try and rescue him.

The balloon, in the shape of a flying saucer is covered in foil and filled with helium. It has a compartment for a passenger underneath. It lifted the boy into the air near Fort Collins Thursday morning after the balloon became untethered at the boy's home.

"We were sitting eating, out looking where they normally shoot off hot air balloons. My husband said he saw something. It went over our rooftop. Then we saw the big round balloonish thing, it was spinning," said neighbor Lisa Eklund.

3. The angels can handle this. Please be with this child while...
he's waiting to be saved. Please keep him safe and calm during this situation.

Please direct his rescuers so that they do the best thing for the situation so that he's saved quickly and easily.

(This or something better for the highest good of all involved.)

Thank you, Universe.

4. I wonder what happened to the little guy?
He and his family still need prayers. He's my niece's age, 6 year olds are so precious.

5. Update - the balloon is down and the boy was not inside.
The search is on for the little boy. So many possibilities and no one knows or is admitting what happened. Let us just hope he is found before dark.

10. Ooh psychic hit--I knew that
I hadn't been following the story, but my mom called--she was watching the live coverage and was all worked up. I didn't think anything when she called to say a boy went up in a homemade balloon, but when she called back and said that he fell out, I KNEW he hadn't ever gone up in it. I actually bet her that he had never gone up in it--he had launched it and was hiding somewhere at home.

Too bad I didn't bet her for cash. :P

8. Yes, just came here to post.
Was watching local news and while the sheriff's dept. was briefing the reporters, he received a page that the boy had been found and was alive. They just came back on and he apparently was hiding in a box in the attic of the garage. Sheriff's dept. said they searched the house twice but wasn't sure about the garage.

So glad for a happy ending.

Anybody else drive your parents crazy this way?

Once as an 8year old, I was so angry with my parents that I hid in a closet, crying and fell asleep for hours. Little did I know that they had the neighborhood on search mode, until I was abruptly awakened by my dad who came back for a coat during the search because it had gotten cold outside. They never let me live it down.

Here's some info about the family from http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20091015/ap_on_re_us/us_boy_in_balloon

When the Heene family aren't chasing storms, they devote their time to scientific experiments that include looking for extraterrestrials and building a research-gathering flying saucer to send into the eye of the storm...

In a 2007 interview with The Denver Post, Richard Heene described becoming a storm chaser after a tornado ripped off a roof where he was working as a contractor and said he once flew a plane around Hurricane Wilma's perimeter in 2005.

Pursuing bad weather was a family activity with the children coming along as the father sought evidence to prove his theory that rotating storms create their own magnetic fields.
