I'm sorry not to have posted sooner -- this is the 1st I've been online other than to look up homework/lecture assignments all week, with multiple 18 hour days this week.

Yes, IHAD, it is exhaustion speaking, and a sense of isolation, and something else I didn't realize. I had been smudging myself when I got home from bad evenings at work, but then had a good couple good weeks and between that and lack of time, smudging fell by the wayside. I didn't realize it but I've been picking up a lot of insidious, and awful, energy in recent weeks. People are stressed to the max. The IRS audited 2007 returns and a lot of upset and panicked people are calling. Plus the company instituted a $15 "small account balance fee" a lot of people waited until too late, and now are angry and taking it out on us. A lot of people are just plain stressed -- I had some guy go off on me and start yelling and swearing because I asked for his info so I could call up his account to answer his question. I seem to get a lot of problem calls at 7:58pm -- right before my shift ends. And some creepy calls, too. :puke:

So now I'm making time, or stealing it, to smudge every night before I go to bed, which is helping. I focus a lot of the smudging on the ta tien and solar plexus regions, and then let the smoke rise through my aura. Even at that, the other night my boss snapped at me, so I smudged her energy away before bed and fell right to sleep. Only to wake up at 3am, so I made myself some cocoa. Fell back to sleep and had awful nightmare -- she came into my house and was walking around inspecting it. And then some other people were with her and taking pictures. It creeps me out that she was able to come right back in just a few hours later.

In the meantime, I had urinalysis lab on Friday and asked if I was the only one to get the letter. It turns out 4 out of 5 people in the lab that morning got the same letter. None of us qualifies for any scholarships, grants or assistance because we have degrees already. The aid we are getting is strictly loans. And due to the current economic situation, even private loans have to be certified by the university. So if they cut us off, we're shit out of luck.

Some were told not to worry about it by the financial aid office. We all were told we can appeal in the spring. I asked the MLT program director if it would be possible to switch to the Bachelors in Med Tech program, in order to qualify for more loans, but apparently the financial aid office didn't lie about that one. Federal rules are we have to get the AS and pass certification exam first, and only then can go for BS. For now, as a group, we are setting it aside as something we can't do anything about at this time. Hopefully we'll stick together as a group. If we go it alone, they can pick us off one-by-one and the financial aid office can literally decide who stays and who goes...on their whim. But...if 80% of the program sophomores give notice they're dropping out, they'll have a serious problem to deal with. There is no other reason for us to be competitive with each other -- there are more jobs then applicants and the program has a 100% employment rate.

Understand, the last year is pretty much full time. We have classes all day 4-days/week in June and July. August off. Then 3 lab sciences in the fall (the equivalent of 6 non-lab classes). And then 20 weeks of clinicals -- 40 unpaid hours per week training in a hospital, plus homework, exams and a project. So working through it is virtually impossible.


I'd like to think our local government would be helpful, but that's not been my experience. Maine's government -- repub or democratic -- is either totally incompetent, totally corrupt, or some combination. Unless *they* stand to lose money, they really don't care.

I was hoping to have heard back from the young couple re: Jade Hill Farm but haven't. I did get another call yesterday. Haven't been able to connect yet..but selling would solve a *lot* of problems, from paying for school to buying Jake new hips...

and another thing you can do is get a letter together from all the people you can find in your situation and send it to your Congressman and to the School as well as anywhere you can think of. All of you signing it.
I think that taking care of yourself and Jake and any other pets you have is a priority. Just make sure you can find a place where they will let you have pets. Solar hugs.

I know how the last few weeks (months, years, lifetinmes!) have been particularly crazy energy and full of frea out moments. That's why when i read you origianl post i just sat back and sent light & love and prayed for you to find your 'flow' again...

fwiw- i am a big proponent of lavender and epsom salt baths too. That is a great energy cleaner - and you can even put it in a jar and sprinkle it on you in the shower if needs be, rub it on the heart and throat chakra especially. Perhaps doing this in the morning will help you and your protection so you can keep the 'ick' OFF you ...

Wih school, just be aware that the fabric of things is re-weaving itself. and things may look like they are falling apart or unraveling, but in reality they are just releasing the strands of what doesn't work and reweaving a new reality where education, healthcare, environment and humanity are top priorities.

It IS scary right now, in all aspects of our physical and spiritual existence... shift happens, lol
Many of us are taking steps forward only to wonder if there will be ground underneath us as we lay our foot down... but maybe that is where we get to grow our wings!

I've been out of town this weekend, & was hoping to find you'd checked in with good news. There is strength in numbers , so I hope the 4 of you do decide to stick together. Obviously there is a crack in the system that has allowed you 4 to fall thru.

Here are some more options I thought of after reading your latest post & there are more individuals involved than just yourself:

• Contact a professional organization (one that most closely fits your field), explain the situation, & ask if they could provide loans or grants for the 4 of you.
  If the field is hurting for grads, they might readily come to your rescue.


• Write to a high-profile individual (like Oprah) requesting the same.
  I know there use to be a wealth individual named Ross who would give $ to individuals who were deserving & using it for worthwhile endeavors. You might research him & give it a try.


• Check w/Congress Critters whether there might be Stimulus money that could be available to you.
  I don't think we have any idea how much of that money can be used for unique educational items.

At this point, what do you have to loose? Sometimes we just need to ASK! Don't let any pride get in the way of fulfilling this dream.
