Welcome to the Year of the White Metal Tiger.

Some calendars I looked at claimed it started on Feb 12, others said February 14, but either way, it's here now.

Since the articles I've posted from Raymond Lo have done well here in the past, here's his take on how the year of the Tiger may go for the world:

The highlights from Lo's piece: a year of success for Barack Obama, but one in which the world may deal with earthquakes, nuclear proliferation issues, and problems related to children.

My take on the Year of the Tiger: Don't take any unnecessary risks, especially involving professional matters. In other years, if you take a risk and it doesn't pay off, you may still be able to survive without major fall out. If you attempt a similar risk during the Year of the Tiger, the Tiger energy will shred you. Overall, I personally am sensing a year of social chaos, political upheavals and at least one major financial shocker (ala the Dot.com crash in the last Year of the Tiger).

(Oh, yeah and beware of your anger. Tiger has a temper.)
