1. Interesting...and yikes!
I need to check the trademark database again. I researched the phrase "sacred awakening" extensively as recently as a month ago and didn't find anything comparable to the site you've shared.

It's what we're calling the book series, starting with "The Book of Obeah," but it has evolved to be so much more....

Thanks for bringing this to my attention IHAD, even though it's in a way you didn't anticipate. ;)

3. You know....

I decided a few years ago -- after being so wrapped up in "protecting" creative ideas and such -- to stay wide open.

Sure, my first reaction is "Oh, shit!" That CYA Virgo talking.

But then I go into a space of...okay, let's work TOGETHER! That's how I'm approaching everything...trying to see how it's an opportunity to expand and connect and everyone work together, rather than being so fragmented.

So, thank you for sharing this morning!

5. I don't mean to hijack this thread, IHAD...lol

But after others check out the series of speakers and sign up if they are so led (I think it sounds awesome!!!), can anyone who gets any "hits" with regard to me contacting the organizer of the event let me know?

I found the creator/organizer of the event, Stephen Dinan (he writes a HuffPo blog): http://www.huffingtonpost.com/stephen-h-dinan/

He and I have MUCH in common.

His approach to Sacred Awakening is different from my intent; as with everything with me, mine is to create a space for individuals -- regular Jane and Joe Schmo's -- to express their passions and dreams. The two approaches can complement one another, however.

And I can see some of the sponsors of that event perhaps having an interest in my more grassroots Sacred Awakening space. ;)

I don't know...I'm rambling. But the support I received here with my request for help with Wishadoo was such a success that I thought I'd ask. Does anyone get any feel or vibe about a potential connection between the two Sacred Awakenings?

:)

6. I'll think about it, but "HIJACK" away. Maybe that's what the thread's really about!
:D

We're going with the flow here! (What people call hijacking never bothers me, maybe because I'm frequently "guilty" of it myself. I like threads to flow wherever they go.)

from "Finding Nemo". So the "flowing" thing is a must for me today!

Just keep swimming, swimming, swimming....flowing, flowing, flowing.....

EDIT TO ADD: This Stephan Dinan guy is quoted quite a bit here at DU. Maybe he IS a DUer.

Wouldn't it be magickal if he read HERE at ASAH and popped into this thread?!!!!

9. I see Bishop Spong in there
though I don't recognize most of the rest. Even though I'm no longer an Episcopalian, I've always admired Bishop Spong. I remember seeing him on the old Bill Maher show, back when it was on broadcast TV :)

Although not free (on DVD now), I remember watching a show on FSTV called Lunch with Bokara, and now I see some of the same names there as on the Sacred Awakening series. I'll have to see if any are on youtube :D
