False Alarm

Just wanted to let you know I had a Panic attack a bit ago, because I couldn't get on DU !!! Went to our other site to the chat room to let y'all know something was wrong. Couldn't get my forums to come up, and all I had were ADS ADS ADS !! I know my star is still good, so I thought I got tombstoned. I alerted on someone last night on General Discussion, and posted to them to GET LOST! (freeper was lost) I just realized that somehow I got logged out. (I NEVER LOG OUT!!) Fortunately I remembered my password...whew!!!!! Am I getting paranoid or what??? Just wanted to let you know in case anyone saw my SOS over at the other site! LUV JA

Sometimes the computers seem to have their own minds. But considering the computer research is leading to all the breakthroughs of consciousness research... :) just kidding.

Try to check what cookies you have in your browser and clean out the unfamiliar ones or anything that sounds remotely "ad". There are so many funky cookies websites put on your computer. I have something on Firefox that is called Adblock and Wot. First one is self explanatory the second one is sort of a rating system of trustworthiness of a site. If people had bad experiences at a site a warning will pop up before you even go there.

I was also surprised when I came to DU without the star at how many ads show up everywhere...
