Holy Mazzolleeee!!!

People, I am WIGGIN' out right now.

With lightning having struck a neighbor's tree while they were out of town last week, I was strongly urged to create a neighborhood directory so we can have contact information for one another.

One sheet was returned, with only the name and a phone number. The name was SO familiar. It's a small neighborhood but there's been a lot of turnover in the last few years since I last did a directory.

Sonofagun, I Googled the name to find a PO Box in the same town I live in; I know it's the same person.

It's an author, whose books I have -- and if you follow Pleiadians, you know her name, too.

http://www.pleiadians.com/index.html.

I'm sitting here stunned to find out she is my NEIGHBOR.

As I type that, a hummingbird just came to visit me (my office is by French doors leading outside).

:)

2. dudette...I'm speechless!!! And hummingbirds and dragonflies...

they are everywhere. I was amazed yesterday as I drove home to see a fairy gathering of dragonflies -- more than I've ever seen in one spot -- clustered yesterday at a highway exit ramp, of all places. No water around.

Geez...I didn't think about that at the time, not until I just typed it.

There is magick afoot indeed.

I don't know what this means about my neighbor...lol. I don't want her to be afraid that I'm stalking her...lol (she doesn't provide an email or way of reaching her other than snail mail at her website). BTW, I live in a very modest neighborhood, just in case anyone thinks this indicates it is a posh area or anything...it's not. ;)

I don't know what to make of things taking place this week. It's a hoot!!!

:hi:

15. I saw the same kind of dragonfly gathering.
A low hill in the park near my house, so many dragonflies it seemed like a two-foot deep cap on the hill. It's been very wet this year, but the only open water near there is at the other end of the park. I have never seen such a thing; a friend confirmed it had been there for hours. A dragonfly about every foot, throughout the area, flying constantly.

4. I have no idea what voice it is I'm following....lol

I am seriously stunned. So, the only thing for me to DO is what I've learned to do the last few years: flow, flow, flow....and see where it takes me.

This is mind-boggling!

  to you KoB!!!!

6. Now THAT is my idea of a great walking partner :)

;)

I normally prefer to walk alone, as it's meditative for me (and still need to make time to do it), but I think she would be a fascinating person to get to know.

edit for typo :)

9. You're funny...lol

Actually, I believe that's her sister.

A few odd things running around in my head as I'm trying to work this morning...and failing miserably and I know people will start to call demanding things! C'est la vie. ;)

I was thinking how much I have a problem being surrounded by Bible thumpers here in my neighborhood; bless her heart, she REALLY must protect her privacy. It would get really ugly if the thumpers knew of her work. :( (That's why I'm hoping she'll find comfort in knowing she has a fellow traveler just a short walk away.)

I was also thinking about the bank card theft issue that threw me earlier in the week, in the midst of so much other magick. As I've mentioned, I have been able to focus on gratitude: Gratitude that it wasn't any worse than it was and that I nipped it in the bud, rather than be upset and frustrated that it occurred at all.

The thought just dawned on me: What if that was the Universe's way of providing a clean slate? I've struggled so financially for so long, as have many of us here, I know. What if this is a clean slate of sorts, to enable more abundance and freedom in that regard?

I'm going with that. ;)

10. Oh, you're RIGHT! It was on her site, but it's a different first name.
I'm telling you, OGR, that bank card thing happened for some divine reason. I don't know why, but I really feel that. Who knows if you'll ever absolutely know why, but I really feel that it had to happen for something else to occur.

I felt the same way when I fell into a ravine on a rocky beach in California a few years ago. My face was a mess afterwards, and I could have very easily had bad scars on my face or had a rock go into my eye (came very close). My face healed amazingly quickly, and there are no scars at all. The event had to happen for something else that needed to happen to occur.

The Universe truly values you and appreciates the work that you do in the world. You give It hands.

Bless your heart, IHAD. And bless you for finding the gift within what must have been a very difficult experience. Wow.......

You give It hands.

That just touched me to the core. Angelbumps. What a very, very kind thing to say, and what a beautiful way to say it.

You're so right. We DO give Spirit hands in this world. That is quite a profound statement and will be rolling around in my mind all day....

We give Spirit hands in this world.

16. IHAD & OGR
Edited on Thu Jul-29-10 11:36 AM by stellanoir
Now IHAD, you *know* darn well that you *only* took that most unfortunate scrape in that particular craggy crevice so I could subsequently post a poll speculating about whether you'd revisit that stellar event during your next vacation when you were overly concerned about the monthly prayer thread when you were *supposed* to be relaxing.

Just kidding. As you probably already know my Virgo brain never really believes anything manifests for anything less than five influences.

Silly me.

Speaking of my brain your "hands" reference inspired the imaginary Ipod in my cranium to shuffle to this song. . .

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QWQuE-kUSHs

Couldn't find the canned version of it that had the mellifluous woman's voice doing beautiful harmonies though. None of the live versions available were as moving as the original but I'm probably biased by nostalgic association as well as four other things. Oh well.

Now I owe you a PM. Just finding my way out of the paper bag in which I was enshrouded for Saturn's lengthy transit over my Mercury. Phew.

OGR- I really think if you simply summarize what you've written in this thread and inscribe it by hand in a lovely card and send it to her snail mail address offering up "a walk and a talk" she will be throughly charmed and not mistake you for a stalker or a klingon or anything like that. She'll undoubtedly recognize your spiritual spark.

You surely have a new friend hovering.

A hummingbird fluttering around my garden just made me type that suggestion.

Must be a hummingbird conspiracy or "somethin'". They always have such seemingly frivolous urgency about them that they can oddly be really persuasive for such lightweights. I swear.

Maybe MG will chime in with a confirmation from her dragon flies.

Not that you need any further confirmation.

Have fun with it.

20. Leave it to you mdm cyber wizardress to find the original for which I was looking.
Yup John Hiatt isn't really well known at all. Given the sometimes "toxic nature of our celebrity obsessed culture," he might even much prefer it to be as such. Who knows. . .?

He's considered to be a "songwriter's songwriter" and not only has he been amazingly prolific over many many years but he also has pretty much had other artists do really well covering his stuff. The two most notable songs that others covered that come to mind are Bonnie Raitt's cover of "Crazy Little Thing Called Love" and if memory serves, I think Cocker may have done a version of "Have a Little Faith in Me." I'm a die hard fan of the originals of course.

I only saw him perform live once at a cozy little venue in LA called McCabe's Guitar Workshop. Then and there he shared a really adorable story about when he first got to know his wife of many years, she had told him that her father had once forbidden her to wear a suede jacket with fringe on the sleeves. So ingenious was she that she cut off the two offensive pieces of fringe and attached velcro to them and stashed them in her pockets until she had escaped her father's scrutiny. Upon hearing that story, he only could say to her, "marry me."

:)

Yikes, I've not indulged in thread jacking with you in eons.

Guess I might be actually shaking off all that restrictive effluvia from that aforementioned paper bag that seemed to function like casts on my typing fingers for far too long.

Phew.

I do wonder where the heck you found that video though and who posted it but I don't really have a deep need to find out.

Thanks for finding it though.

19. Hummingbirds, dragonflies and -- I forgot to mention - butterflies...

EVERYWHERE! :)

It's not as though they've always been around and I haven't seen them. No...I actively look for them, year after year. I certainly have some each year but nothing like what I'm observing now.

Miraculously, I've even befriended a black snake. Well, he/she doesn't know it -- but the fact that I'm not terrified of him (I've always had a huge fear of snakes), is HUGE. I even send out my gratitude, as I know he/she can protect us from harmful snakes (copperheads here), though I prefer not to bump into him/her too often. :)
